Together, all our actions matter
- 10 million people die each year from cancer, which is more than HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined.
- Nearly 70% of deaths from cancer occur in low- and middle-income countries.
- In 2018, more than 100,000 people died due to cancer in Bangladesh.
- By 2030, experts project cancer deaths to rise to 13 million, if we do not act.
- More than one third of cancer cases can be cured if detected early and treated properly.
- We can save up to 3.7 million lives every year through a healthy diet, maintaining a healthy weight and being physically active.
